Graphics Cards for displaying 4K

Get the MSI GTX960, it has 3 displayports and 1 HDMI that can display 4K video. I just bought it with 4G RAM. GTX750 is advertised as being capable of displaying 4K but with 2 HDMI cables. To display on 4K TV, we need to get the displayport to 4K HDMI converter. I have ordered one from Aliexpress.

Buying 4K Laptop

http://www.digitaltrends.com/…/4k-monitor-buying-guide-why…/ I don't like the article. In my experience, if you have a gopro Hero 4 black, xperia z2-3, samsung galaxy 5-6 which can record 4K, you need a laptop with 4K. TV cannot reliably play all 4K content and cannot handle hard disks larger than 1T easily. I have problems with 2T. Luckily I have a 250K external hard disks which my LG tv can read. It cannot read also a USB memory card reader. My laptop is the Lenovo Y50-70 UHD with 500G SSD. At rm4500 it was the cheapest but mine only come with GTX860 and older version of i7.

LG 55UB850 4K 3D TV can play mkv with DTS

I was able to connect to my amplifier using TOS optical cable. I was suprised that the LG TV was able to play an 18 Gbyte mkv file faultlessly in 1080p with DTS sound. This means that my TV is better than my PCs and Macbook Air. I cannot play with DTS sound and vlc sometimes are not smooth in playing the video. There is no need for me to do any conversion using ffmpeg. In fact, the quality of the 3D movie appears better than a bluray disc film, Gravity, that I bought for RM120. I was using the USB3 input of the TV connected to a 3D external hard disc enclosure.
