Buying 4K Laptop

I don't like the article. In my experience, if you have a gopro Hero 4 black, xperia z2-3, samsung galaxy 5-6 which can record 4K, you need a laptop with 4K. TV cannot reliably play all 4K content and cannot handle hard disks larger than 1T easily. I have problems with 2T. Luckily I have a 250K external hard disks which my LG tv can read.
It cannot read also a USB memory card reader.

My laptop is the Lenovo Y50-70 UHD with 500G SSD. At rm4500 it was the cheapest but mine only come with GTX860 and older version of i7.

h265 and DaVinci - Less Space and Faster Encoding!

Because I thought that h264 is the usual format for video, I chose the output of Davinci Resolve 18 as h264 4K also. It took more than 4 hours to produce a 1 and half hour video. I destroyed a removeable hard disk, my main camera backup because I tried to reduce the amount of disk space to allow render cache. I also permanent lost video files from a camera. Luckily I still have some old camera files at my hard disk. The improvement due to the render cache is negligible. I even tried no compression coding for the render cache, hoping that it will speed up the process. Despite removing half the clips from its render cache in order to fit into to PCIE 480 GB SSD, Davinci failed to complete the rendering process. I ended up removing all the cache files, but this time I tried the h265 output. The rendering without any render cache generated before output rendering is at more than 50 fps, double the realtime fps of 24. From 4 hours, the rendering is reduce to just 45 minutes.
