How to do binaural recording?
Binaural recording is a true 3D sound recording which cannot be matche by Dolby decoders.
Dolby decoders try to reproduce sound by using external speakers from outside. The more speakers the more accurate will be the representation.
Binaural only need 2 speakers directed at our ears in order to simulate all the 3D sound possible.
For external speakers, the microphones must be placed in the same position that can capture the sound in the direction that the speakers will come from. If only 2 speakers in front, the microphones must be directed at them.
To do binaural recording, just put the microphones inside our ears, at the location of the ear drums. Since this is impossible, we can use dummies that mimic our hear and ears.
